HTTP API

Sessions, messages, and schedules over HTTP. Message turns are a server-sent event stream.

Sessions

MethodPathReturns
GET/devchat/health{status, service}
GET/devchat/sessionsSession list
POST/devchat/sessionsCreates a session
GET/devchat/sessions/:idSession and messages
PATCH/devchat/sessions/:idRenames a session
DELETE/devchat/sessions/:idDeletes a session
POST/devchat/sessions/:id/messagesSSE stream for one turn
POST/devchat/sessions/:id/stopStops the current turn

Stream events

The message endpoint responds with text/event-stream. The client grows one assistant bubble from the deltas. The last event is always done.

Schedules

GET and POST /devchat/schedules list and create tasks. PATCH and DELETE address /devchat/schedules/:id. POST /devchat/schedules/:id/run starts one immediately.

Terminals

The Rust engine serves these routes. POST /devchat/terminals opens a shell. GET /devchat/terminals/:id/stream is the session event stream. POST …/launch submits one command, POST …/reset soft-resets the terminal, and POST …/resume reattaches a session left on disk. GET and PUT /devchat/terminals/settings store clipboard, contrast, shell, and theme choices. GET and POST /devchat/terminals/commands list and save quick commands; DELETE /devchat/terminals/commands/:id removes one. POST /devchat/terminals/import/ghostty reads the Ghostty config. GET and POST /devchat/terminals/import/warp list and apply a Warp theme. Behavior is on the Terminal page. The Brompter CLI calls the open, read, send, and close routes from a shell.
