MCP

Register tools the agent can call, and let a chat open panes inside Brompter.

Servers

Settings → MCPs stores servers for the workspace. HTTP responses list environment variable names, not values. Creating or changing a server over HTTP is off until DEVCHAT_MCP_COMMAND_ALLOWLIST names the absolute binaries that are allowed to run. Every change is written to an audit log. The files that hold secrets are owner-readable only.

Brompter as a tool

A chat can ask to create chats or open a browser, terminal, or file pane, and the open window does it. Settings → Agent shows whether Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or Gemini is installed. Add Brompter registers this build with that harness. Update Brompter replaces an older registration. From a checkout, pnpm install-mcp does the same for the selected harness.

Plugins

Settings → Plugins installs Claude Code plugins from a GitHub owner/repo marketplace. Local filesystem paths are rejected.
