Commands and skills

Slash commands, skills, and @mentions from the composer. One menu, three sources.

Slash menu

Type / in the composer. The menu lists Brompter prompt templates, the harness’s own commands, and files discovered on disk.

/model opens the model picker. /permissions opens the permission list. /plan turns on plan mode. /clear starts a new chat.
A skill or command file expands to its prompt.
Hooks are listed. Brompter does not run them from this menu.

Where they are read

Claude: ~/.claude, <workspace>/.claude, and installed plugins.
Codex: ~/.codex, <workspace>/.agents/skills, and <workspace>/.codex.
Cursor: ~/.cursor, ~/.agents/skills, <workspace>/.cursor, and nested skill folders.

@mentions

Type @ to fuzzy-match files in the active workspace. Gitignored paths stay out. The pick inserts @<path>. Settings → Skills can browse, search, install, and remove Claude skills from a GitHub repository through the Skilly CLI.
